Group Apprenticeship Program staff KPI’s undoubtedly always revolve around numbers of commencements, in one way or another. As commencements, cancellations, supervision meetings etc are all tracked in the system, it is easy to access information in MATE that will indicate to you how your staff are performing, or how a particular Regional Office is progressing. Not only can you track the results people are achieving, but you can also track their activity in MATE and see how frequently people are accessing the system and what their usage levels are like.
Gathering information for performance reviews through MATE is a matter of running a report or two, rather than flicking through the last six months of statistics. There is also a function for managers known as ‘my team’. If you click into this section you can see all the pending or outstanding appointments for your staff. This gives you an idea, literally at a glance, if they are keeping up to date with their workload.
There is full visibility and transparency within the system, which ensures there is ‘nowhere to hide’ for staff. Those staff members who are performing well respond well as their good work is widely acknowledged, and for those who are not performing as well it is clearly identified, providing the manager with a means to address this.
